Valerie joined Sharp & Partners in 1980, as an articled clerk. She qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and became the first female partner in the firm in 1986. Her areas of work are property law (both residential and commercial) and private client and she is the partner in charge of the conveyancing department. Robert Oates stepped down as senior partner in 2009 and Valerie has now been appointed the role of joint managing partner along with Chris Carlin.
Valerie is married with 2 children and her outside interests include Guiding (she is a Guide leader and District Commissioner) and walking.

Chris qualified in 1978 and opened our office in Arnold in 1979 where he is the managing partner dealing with wills, probate, residential and commercial conveyancing transactions. Married with four children Chris is a keen sportsman playing hockey football and golf. Robert Oates stepped down as senior partner in 2009 and Chris has now been appointed the role of joint managing partner along with Valarie Wilkinson.

Antony moved to Nottingham in 1986 to begin his professional training and qualified in March 1988 since when he has specialised in company and commercial legal work and in commercial property. He joined Sharp and Partners in 1994 and now manages the Long Eaton office having successfully overseen the refurbishment and redevelopment of the building bought by the firm in Market Square. He advises on Business and company sales and purchases comercial property transactioins including leases and land development and commercial agreements including franchise agreements.
He is married with 2 teenage children and when he has time on his hands enjoys skiing fishing an gardening
